Mele Luau Oahu at Coral Crater

This was my first Luau and I LOVED my experience! Everything was just wonderful, the people, the food and the atmosphere! Everyone was very nice (shout out to Johnny), the food was DELICIOUS, and the show was very interesting from start to finish. The only thing I'll do differently is my seating option. I paid the VIP price and I guess I was expecting something more than what I received. To my knowledge the only difference between the VIP package and the other options is the positioning of your table. VIP is right in front of the stage, but it wasn't worth the price to me. I would've been okay with just paying the regular price and still would've enjoyed the show just the same. Also I would've eaten more food, (buffet style) but one of the other patrons was clearing her throat while fixing her food, and that turned me off completely. Lastly it was difficult to be able to truly enjoy my food because the flies were out. If they can get that under control (somehow), the experience would be perfect! Overall, I would do I again and plan to whenever I'm back in Waikiki! P.s That roasted pig was so good!! 🤤

OMG!!!..... the show was interactive and we were able to experience different stations that showcased parts of the Polynesian culture. The buffet was delicious and the VIP romance experience was so worth it! Chase was a fabulous dancer/drummer and so friendly and knowledgeable about EVERYTHING Hawaii. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back to experience it all over again! We've told all of our friends so they can experience it as well!

Absolutely an amazing experience! There were opportunities to learn about the culture. This is a great opportunity for big families, single travelers, and anyone of any age. I highly recommend this experience to everyone! The only thing that should be noted is if you did mot pay for transportation, make sure you bring cash to pay for parking ($10).

It's absolutely incredible!!! Mele Luau Oahu at Coral Crater was a blast for the entire family! PRE-SHOW & DINNER: We were greeted with leis and drinks and appetizers. The girls got "tattoos" and hula lessons and even got to hula on stage at one point during the evening show! The food was incredible and there was PLENTY of it 😋! BEST OF SHOW: I must say that the fire dancer was a sight to see!!! Excellent talent! There was a mix of Polynesian culture, singing, dancing, celebrating, and, of course, eating and drinking. I can see why this luau is so highly rated! I highly recommend it for those interested in a luau on Oahu. SHOCKING MOMENT: The performances were tons of fun, and they had Jonathan and I dancing together by the end of the night !

What the others have said, the 🔥 show and all of the actors, musicians, presenters were fantastic. Off the beaten path but definitely worth it. The food was good for what you get and there was plenty of it. The atmosphere was perfect to wind down from a day's worth of activities and to enjoy a show under starlight. Truly a unique experience. Was also not expecting activities that you could participate in (temporary tattoos, learning some dancing, doing percussion with the crew). It felt like you were a part of the community. You could be as engaged or not engaged as you wanted to be as well for some of us who wanted to just sit and watch a show with a story of the rich history of the land and culture. Would definitely go again!

*If you are wondering why the ratings are so high and my review conflicts, it is possibly because they buy their reviews by offering a small gift if you give a review before leaving.* The venue and food was absolutely awful. B or C rated Luau. It's a shame for the performers because the show was fantastic. There were flies everywhere. They swarmed the pig before, during and after being cut up. They also swarmed the food tables and the areas we sat. Some alcoholic drinks were included however sodas were $5/can if you didn't drink alcohol or water out of a gatorade cooler. I felt like I was at a cheap carnival with carnies trying to nickel and dime the entire time despite the high cost I had already paid for the tickets. They kept trying to sell so many things. Not a very classy luau.
